Acting Head Teacher & Year Two Teacher
(Special Education Needs Coordinator)
I joined Eton Wick in September 2016. I studied at the University of Reading for 4 years and gained a BAEd with music.
I’ve been lucky enough to go to many amazing places around the world, but I think my trip to Uganda, as a volunteer, has to be the best destination because of the incredible, yet enlightening experience. The Ugandan teachers are hungry to learn, and so enthusiastic about every aspect of their life. It was humbling to see the schools, and the learning environment for the children; something we take for granted. The scariest thing I have done probably links with this trip; white water rafting on grade 5 rapids down the Nile for a day. Being tipped over mid rapid, and wondering if I would ever surface, is an unnerving experience, but one which I would definitely do again!!
I enjoy baking and decorating cakes using sugar-craft, but if I was to take up another hobby, I would probably choose to start rowing. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m always inspired at the strength and determination when I watch it on the television.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a biscuit- especially at break time, or after school...!! It’s a difficult decision, but I think a custard cream would win my vote!
